Well, I had fun!

I love the consultant that I have, but although he's going to change my dates, he is also willing to listen!  I've told him I cannot go through the end of the pg like I did the last time, and he accepts that but he says he has to go by the scan dates, they are the rules he has to follow, even if I could pinpoint the actual date of conception he would still adjust it according to the scan!  I was grateful for his honesty!

He has placed me in the HIGH RISK category, and I am to be seen by the mws every 4 weeks, and have my bloods taken, although he won't see me for another 10 weeks.  He has also put Rhiannon as joint mw with Nesta this time, as she knows my history because she was a mw at the clinic when I had the first 3!

I will get another scan in 4 weeks, and they'll take it from there, I am to make the other mw aware that I am not happy having my dates changed, I have also told them if baby gets to 3/5 engaged this time they take it out straight away because of the problems I had with Fred!  And they understand!  Dh told me when I got back that if it costs me my baby this time he will sue! not like dh at all, so I'm chuffed he's backing me!

Anyway it was just to let you know everything is so far going fine!

Does anyone know what I can eat that will boost baby's growth in 3 weeks just to be on the safe side! lol

I would say you definately need to be eating lots of chocolate and turkey over christmas not sure it will do much for babies weight but it will make you bigger....

Glad the consultant listened to you and that you are going to get good care.  Keep us updated.

I'm glad everything is going ok and I would agree with mumsam about the chocs and turkey - and throw in plenty of mince pies lol!!  BUT I have to say something even tho I know I'm probably going to get blasted

I really really think that you should stop smoking - I was talking about this to my SIL who is a mw just last night and you wouldn't believe the problems that babies have because of the mother smoking - I know it is difficult, I am an ex-smoker myself but it would be so so much better for your LO if you managed to stop..

I am sure everyone on here would support you thru it and try and take your mind off it if we can..

ok, lecture over...

You and Fee will have to keep us posted on how the no smoking goes when you quit.  I know how hard it is to give up I gave up when I was 7wks pregnant I just kept thinking of the baby and how every ciggy affected it and guilted myself into it.  Now I wish I could start again because then my UC wouldn't be so bad but that's a whole different story .  But I guess Greedy is right that would be the best way to help baby grow, that and mince pies.

I'm glad your first appointment went well and that they are listening to you.  Hopefully everything will be fine this time.

Will give you lots of support on giving up smoking as well, both you and feemcg.  I gave up when I found out I was pregnant with Cerys.  My DH gave up before I fell pregnant and whilst out in Iraq which I was really shocked with... he suddenly went from 60 a day to nothing.  He found it harder than I did but I'm so proud of him.  I am finding it hard now though I was OK with not smoking whilst I was pregnant same reasons Mumsam had given but since having had Cerys I still get times when I really would like just one... I'm determined not to though... if the urges get too strong I'll just have to get pregnant again LOL
