Have you read the artical on SPD. you may find some help or have a chat with Madz as hse suffered with spd and may be able to help you in your hour of need. I could onl suggest you sleep on your side.

Ellen I dont want to sound funny but how good is your gp with SPD - only most doctors dont know much about it and can say things that arent neccesarily correct.

Is it siatica? (Pain in nerves around base of bum/top of leg which can travel down leg - like trapped nerve?) Do you sleep with a cushion between your legs? Is it only one leg and is it always the one you are sleeping on or that is in the air?

Sorry with all the questions just want to help if I can. I also have (far too much) experience with SPD so I can help there wherever possible.

Take care hun xxx

hiya madz, the doctor told me i had it in the hospital after i colapsed ,it has settled down now has been that way for a while now. I was told the pain in my legs could be due to carpel tunnel and as baby is lying so low down could be hitting or lying on a nerve which is what could be causing the pain.

Thank you for the advice it is very helpful

Take care

Ellen and blue bump

xx

I had problems with my legt in the last trimester of being pregnant with Oliver.  I never had SPD or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.  It was just the way he was laying.  In the evening my legs didn't feel like they belonged to me and were very uncomfortable.  When I woke in the morning I had to be careful how I got out of bed as my legs would give way under me because they were still asleep.  The mw said it was the way Ollie was laying and pressing on nerves.  He was extended breach and was very uncomfortable to carry.  I hadn't experienced anything similar with either of my daughters but they were both up the right way.

I doubt this is connected to you at all but I had SPD while pregnant and am still suffering although Edward is nearly 9 months (dont worry its very rare!)

Anyway this week I have been much worse and last night and today I have had a real deadening in my legs. I couldnt move them at all earlier, I just didnt feel they were connected to me. My physio keeps going on about refered pain...

Just a thought.
