Hi all, I have had a chest infection, well still got it in all honesty, and he pulled some muscles round my ribs, and below bump from all the coughing, I am hoping to go to docs on MOnday if we don't get flooded in!  However except for paracetamol, am i allowed any rub to see if that eases it.  I also want to know what I can use for sinuses besides olbas oil, it's not quite strong enough for overnight and today i was laid in bed til 1pm just trying to get the courage to get out of bed.

Thanks ladies for any help and advice

Vix xxxxx

You could try menthol crystals to inhale as they are stronger than Olbas Oil.  There isn't really anything you can buy over the counter apart from Paracetamol that you can take in pregnancy.

Try this website if you would like to look up whether something is safe to take in pregnancy: http://www.safefetus.com/Search.asp

You can also use the Vicks Nasal Inhaler, and the sudofed plug in things. I found the Vicks inhaler fantastic when I had a sinus infection whilst pregnant.

Hope you feel better soon xxxxxxxxx

Have you tried any herbal remedies, i was given 3 massage's as i suffered from anxiety, they(the hv's) were always telling me of the different oils they use but you do have to be careful as some may set of labour, but you may find one that eases the pains or help with your breathing.
