I had antenatal clinic today, and saw yet another mw. On explaining my history to her and saying that I had hoped Nesta would be back as she knows I wouldn't make a fuss about nothing. She listened to baby! I told her I wanted a scan as I knew they could tell form the state of the cord and placenta how far I was, and she said the only thing she could do was send me in for for monitoring especially as bubs wasn't moving as much over the last week, and the fact I had almost called labour ward in the last week twice.
Wow the mw there at hospital was fantastic. She listened, didn't fob me off, and even did a swab because I feel like I've been leaking. Well it took ages to find baby's heartbeat as he hates the monitor, but eventually we got a good read, I had my bloods done, and they have come back not as good as hoped, baby has now gone into breech position, and she thinks my dates are more accurate than the scan! So all in all a tiring day, but not too bad yet! She has told me to demand a visit to the consultant, as 4 weeks was not an option!
Thats the easy part! The hardest part is the problem I have with my blood is all to do with platelets (what makes your blood clot). Mine go down low during pregnancy but usually drop quickly at the end. And they have done that! Normal reading is between 150 and 400, mine went from 201 down to 133, and they are still dropping. Which means if I don't get the correct treatment then I could easily bleed to death in labour. Thats where the problem starts. I need a consultant to sort out the teatment, and if I don't see mine before I go into labour, I could have all sorts of problems, and the treatment I get varies as to what date I am due. If my dates are accurate and my history is as it has been, the chances are that I could have baby anyday, but would need a short stay in hospital before I give birth, however if their dates are more accurate, then I can be given steroids, and still have the baby ok. But with baby being in Breech position, this causes an additional problem as they prefer to give c-sections for breech, and if my blood is not clotting, then thats an extra risk that they could do without.
So thats the saga so far. I will keep you all updated, and hope that I can get hold of one of my mw's tomorrow, if not I know I can get hold of someone on Wednesday as there is a mw clinic then.
