well as some of u knew i was told i was measurin bigger than i should b but was still waitin 4 a scan appointment. i finally got this after endin up at the assessment ward tuesday nite cos of swellin hands n feet, pins n needles n itchin from sunday. i wasn't 2 worried til lo didn't move much all day tuesday. the mw jus looked at me n asked if i was sure i got my dates rite! i was measurin 30wks n i'm only jus 26wks. she got me booked in 4 a scan the next day 2 check as they suspected diabetes wiv it bein in the family. they filled our heads wiv horror stories of Caleb going hyperglysemic (assume that's how u spell it) when born or complications durin labour if i carryin 2 much water.

went 4 scan n Caleb's perfect. he's not 2 big n i'm not carryin 2 much fluid so all's fine. they had no answers til i said is it cos i'm ova weight at which point they agreed. i jus wish they told us this was a possibility 2 save us alot of worry! but i suppose we're jus relieved all's ok now n runnin on schedule.

he's spot on the growth chart at the mo n everything functionin rite so we couldn't b happier. i'm gonna try n not take 2 much in bout what mw says from now on cos they jus keep scarin us.

anyway i'm wafflin now cos i'm happy but better go.

take care

Lou xxx

Awww glad everything is alright and you got to see your little baby on the scan, it is so reasuring when you see them.  Your quite right to ignore the mw's when it comes to size and even position most of the time.  They either tell you that baby is too big or too small or breach or not breach when they are....

Enjoy your pregnancy.

aw great news that all is well with Caleb!

did you find out anything about the other symptoms?  maybe it's the heat....I was bloomin boiling all the time when I was pregnant and I had to wear flip flops all thru the winter cos my feet were huge lol

Take care, Greedy, x

I'm with you on ignoring them with size etc!  I was sent in cos they were worried about the size of mine on Monday!  It wasn't til the mw tried to tell me that it was ok, and nothing to worry about that made me worry!  I'm not used to being handled softly, I'm used to being told basic facts! lol  Luckily baby is doing fine atm, but I'm hoping to find out a bit more tomorrow when I go for another trace!

Glad all is well with you, I remember balloning up with my first one, haven't got that big with any of the others, and I'm sure it's the heat that has caused me to take my wedding ring off this time!

they didn't say what has caused the other symptoms jus offered me pills which i refused. told em that as long as there nothin 2 worry bout then i'll put up wiv it. i can't do an awful lot in the heat as it takes all my energy but i enjoy my time watchin the alien tryin 2 break outta my stomach lol his pattern's changin so i'm tryin 2 work out if he's even got a regular pattern any more. i'm drinkin loads of water in stead of fruit juices or cordials so hopefully that'll help n they said that they gonna do another blood test 4 liver at 28wk check along wiv sugar jus 2 b on safe side but i'm not concerned bout em.

n yeah i'm startin 2 enjoy bein pg now that i got used 2 idea.

take care

im glad to  hear that everything is fine i think mw likes to scare people as when i was preg with my son i had a scan as they said that he only  measured 27 weeks when i was actually 35 weeks  the scan also said he was small mw wanted to take me round special care as she said that he would go there when he was born as they thought that he would weigh bout 3 to 4 lb but when he was they were  shocked as he weighed 8lb9oz

i think that they only said that he was gonna be small cos of my size as i dident show much with him

well good luck to u i dont listen to the mw now

lololol Lou, I'm glad you're starting to ignore the mws whe it comes to talking about the size.  I've told you all along you've got nothing to worry about.

Hope you're resting still.

We're all off to Sundown later, but I think you're best staying at home.  See you soon.

Zo xx
