Don't quite no what to do! I had my very first midwife appointment at 11 weeks, had my scan at 12 weeks and waas told to book another midwife appointment for 16 weeks. Well Im 14 weeks preg now and Im feeling pretty damn awful. Do you think they would mind if I went in next week? I just dont know what to do. Or should I just wait till my 16 weeks appointment. I dont want to waste anyones time!

If you are feeling awful and want to see your mw go and see her early, she won't mind. It's their job to support you through your pregnancy. If you feel you can't wait until the mw appointment next week try and see your gp instead.

I've been off food which I was putting down to this hot weather, but everytime I eat I keep bringing it back up again. I also keep having bad dizzy spells probably down to lack of food. But Im just so sleepy all the time and have no energy. Its getting me down as I cant even play with Adam all I do is just slob out at the mo. My mum seems to think Im anaemic but Ive never had it so wouldnt know!

Hiya Amy,
Anemia is quite common during pregnancy and ul probs find quite a lot of ppl have had it...me included!
The symptoms you decribe sound familar, no energy, off food and being just generally tired all the time so yes i wuld go and see your mw or gp sooner rather than later so they can prescibe you iron tablets to help perk you up a bit!
In the mean time tho, just try to rest as much as possible....(i know easier said than done when u have a child already) and try to eat good healthy, regular meals including lots of wholemeal bread, rice and plenty of fresh green veg like cabbage, i think the rule is the greener the better!!

I was anemic with both my pg's and had iron tablets which helped alot, your syptoms seem to suggest this, i would go sooner than later, just to put your mind at rest.

As everyone has said, don't wait until your appt if you are not feeling well. Contact your midwife and explain how you feel. She is there to support you throughout your pregnancy when you need her not just when you are suppose to see her. Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon

I am sure most of us can empathise with the feeling exhausted and nauseated when pregnant it is very normal, you can gain a little comfort from the theory the worse the symptoms the healthier the pregnancy. The first 3mnths really are the worst and you are coming to the end of that time now so it feels especially bad. I was constantly sick and drained with Ollie until I was 18wks pregnant and it's depressing not feeling right all the time. Have a chat with your mw and ask if you can have your bloods taken to test for aneamia. Also it might be worth investing in a pregnancy vitamin supplement if you can't eat very much. Make sure it's a pregnancy vitamin not a normal vitamin tablet as normal vitamin tablets contain vitamin A which can be harmful to a growing baby. Try to eat little and often and sip water or anything you feel happy drinking. Ginger bisciuts can be good for nausea and also a homeopathic remedy called nux vomica that you can get from Boots and many other chemists. Also Seabands can be good for nausea they cost about £6 again from a chemist. hth
