I have no experience with this but i know most ppl go from one extreme to another on this. You either bleed most of the time or your periods stop altogether. I know a few ppl have implants on here so will be able to advice you better.

If your not happy though hun go back and see your gp. xxxxx

I was on the injection, and from what my doc told me, the implant is just the same... and i was bleeding from the age of 16 to when i fell pg with Taylor at 20.. constant bleeding with no gaps..

It effects ppl in diff ways.. some stop completly, others are like me and never stop.

I would go see the doc tho if it doesn't look like its gonna stop, i never did as i was to embarresed, and i became very annemic.. which isn't good.

I have the implant. Although I never had periods before I went on due to medical conditions, when I had it put in they advised me it will either make your periods stop completly or as Nicki said, bleed constantly. I would go and see your doctor though, just to make sure

From my experience this is normal, I'm afraid.

Mine's been in since Sept 06 and I bleed alot. I'm also on the pill, but that hasn't slowed it down either.  Might have to revisit the doctor, me thinks.

Hi when I had the imlant for about the first 3-4 weeks I did suffer bleeding, it wasn't constant and it wasn't heavy, kind of there one day then gone for a couple then back again. Also I didnt have any pain associated with a period. Once it settled itself down I didnt have any more bleeding unitl two weeks after it was removed.

If you are in way worried at all you really must go see your GP. He/she will either put your mind at rest or tell you its not normal and suggest an alternative.

Good luck hope it all sorts itself for you.
