This is a question for the parent's of formula fed babies.

How do you make up there bottles?

Ive always made leo's up by putting the water in the bottle then adding the milk, but someone said it's easier to make up the bottles using a jug, By adding the amount of water required then adding the scoops of milk then share it out between the bottles.

just wondering how you make up your lo's bottles do you just add the milk to the water in the bottle or do you use a jug?

gemma.

I sterilize the bottles.

When they come out I put water just boiled out the kettle in them and put teat and screw top on.

They stay on top of the fridge till I get them and I put the formula in them.

I put a little boiling water in them if they are cool, to make it a warm feed.

Then just shake and feed!!

Just same as you Gem!

On the back of milk box it does tell you, you can make up a bogger feed with 2 - 3 bottles with mixing in measuring jug.

I think thats only on follow on milk they say that though.

i sterilize the bottles and boil the kettle at the same time, then about half an hour later i go back add water, then formula then stick them in the sink of cold water to cool then bung them in the fridge till needed

my sister makes my nephews up in a jug, she says its easier to add water and formula in one container than to mess around doing it individually in each, it is quicker but i prefer the traditional method!!

btw the jug is always sterilized first!

I use the bottles, but if any of you notice, you may make up 8oz, there's aleays more than 8oz in the bottle as the milk powder seems to add volume!  So if you make up 24 oz in a jug, you'll automatically have between 24 and 26oz!  How do you divide 25oz between 3 equally! Having said that there was a point when Fred was younger it was easier!  however anyone saying that it's easier is lying!! I hated it, if the kids talked to me mid count I was stuffed! lol
