I have just dropped Eds off to school for his last ever day of playgroup.

He started in January and goes 2 mornings a week. From September he will start nursery and will go 5 mornings a week. He's had visits to the Nursery and he is really excited about it and looking forward to it.

Unfortunately we were meant to be having a parents and children picnic after playschool today but typical english weather has shined on us - well rained on us more like!

I have hardly slept the last few nights due to my SPD so I am over emotional anyway and keep having to choke back tears. I'm so proud of my little man - He's grown up so much!

Hi Madz

Its been ages since Ive been on Madmums forum, after moving and relocation we are finally beginning to get settled. It was nice to read your post and browse the forums, even though Im not much one for posting!

You must be very proud of your wee boy, its a big step going to nursery full time, my own daughter is due to start nursery next term,

Shame about the picnic, It wet up here in Scotland too, in fact there is even some small patches of snow left on the mountains in the distance (Crazy!)

Bless you hun, I wouldn’t worry about getting all emotional, there’s many more times when your likely to well up…. First days at nursery, school, school plays etc. It’s normal hunny it’s part and parcel of being a proud mummy. He’s turned into a young gentleman.

It’s a shame about the weather but as you say it’s typical. It’s a shame they can’t postpone and hold it on another day.
