Having had Fred wake up drenched almost every day for the last few weeks, I've been trying to figure out what was wrong.  I haven't wanted to wake him at night just in case he doesn't go back to sleep.  Last night when I went to bed(about midnight) I thought I'd check him, to see! He was drenched through by the time I went to bed, so very carefully and in very little light I changed his nappy, and his clothes, and put his fleece blanket over the sheet, as it doesn't seem to soak the fleece.  And when I got him up this mornng, he was dry, I even managed to give him breakfast and his bottle, and he was still dry through! I should have checked him before yesterday! But hopefully I'll be able to see to him on a regular basis but I'll start checking his nappy at around 11pm, just in case he wakes!

Aw bless you both.  You're not a horrible mum.  Max woke up at 5.30 for a nappy change so I put his re-usable on.  But the velco wasn't sticking, and it came undone!  He was soaked!!

Kieran had been waking up soaked ever since it got hot & I stopped putting a vest on him at night.  He fiddles with his 'little man' when he is asleep and pulls it upwards  so now when its hot I have been putting on his vest and his pj bottoms only.  Problem solved cos he cant get his hands down his nappy

you're not an awful mum hun, there's been many times i've not checked aimee's nappy because i didn't want to disturb her.  Sometimes it has to be done, it may have been that fred was wet early on last night but othertimes it's not until early morning that his nappy leaks.  Don't beat yourself up over it hun, you're a brill mum, and don't let anyone tell you different

He still woke up at 6am, I put his dummy in, and got up a bit later!  Bles him, he's already had his mornign sleep, and he's playing quietly!
