the doctor weighed tom in preparation of his mmr, and imagine my surprise to find his weight hovering between the 75th and 91st centile. the little sumo now weighs in at 11.1 kg. looking at him you wouldn't think he's big (although he has always been a chubster). he has slowed down alot with growing upwards though and isn't as tall as his brother who is on the 98th centile for height.
i'm wondering if the boys are going to be tall. i heard somewhere that sons tend to be taller than their mothers. i'm 5 ft 7 and my husband is 5 ft 8. my mother is just under 6 ft tall and my fil is 6 ft 4!!
how much does your 1 year old weigh, and how tall are they?

Travis is quite tall for a 1 year old I think anyhoo. He's quite big, not like fat, but generally bigger than any LO's we've met of his age. If only he could talk we could say he was 2 years old and nobody would question us!
Has he had the MMR yet or is it going to be done another day?

Aww! Everyone seems to have had them or just getting them... Travis was 1 on the 24th April, do you think I should give the Drs a call or something?
Hope he's alright with a sniffle. Travis is quite happy running around the house with bogeys running down his face...I'm chasing him with a hankie all the time though! He thinks it's a game which is so cute!

ok, fred got weighed the tuesday before his jab! he has slowed down quite a bit whereas he was at the 98th cenile for ages he's now hovering round the 75th centile now, I can't remember where I put my book, but will look for it later and get back to you
The other thing is my mom said, in her day they would measure the baby on the 2nd birthday and they would be twice that height when they stopped growing!

Lorna, at our surgery they only do the jabs once a month. Ella was born on 14th April and got hers this month, where as her friend Ruby will get hers next month as the surgery cut off at the 20th of each month - Ruby was born on 28th April.
The health service guidelines say 12 to 18 months to have the MMR.
Hth xxx
PS - Not had Ella weighed properly for a while now but from putting her on the scales with me, I'd guess she's about 9.5kg.
