I was just wondering why do babies go off their food ????

Rachel is 11 months, She has Refused to eat her dinner and supper the last few days, she has how ever been drinking her bottles as normal.

She has no temperature and is sleeping very well. She is in good form but she does seem a bit extra tired.

To be honest I have tried all her favourite foods and she has no interest at all, She slapps the food out of my hand and gets very up-set if I try and make her eat.

I am a bit concerned as I hope this will not continue and I am really trying to take the approach that if she is hungry she will eat.

Any ideas or suggestions ?

If shes hungry she will eat, if shes not then she won't.  Case of tough love, its no problems for her to be off her food for a couple of days as long as shes drinking.  Keep at it chick, eventually she'll give in.  Shes just being a stubborn little oik, i know its hard and upsetting when they dont eat.

The only way i can get food into Ryan is by taking his milk away

Hes now on 300ml a day & finally eating better

If shes not ill maybe u just need to cut her milk intake (under 1s need 600ml but can be substituted with dairy products), i think most los go through phases of not eating as much so i wouldnt worry too much

Your definitely doing fine!  She will eat when she is ready!  It could also be that she wants to feed herself or she may have a tooth coming through!  I found that with Fred I could put teething gel on his gums before I fed him and he would take the food without a problem!

As the others have said I wouldn't worry too much. Harry will go somedays without hardly eating anything. I know if he is hungry he will eat. There is no point trying to force her to eat or making an issue of it as this could lead to problems later.

I think all little ones go through the Im not eating stage lol Joshua does it a lot if he is on a growth spurt. As Steph said if she is drinking then I wouldnt worry about it, maybe offer finger foods for a few days. ive it lasts there is a medicine you can offer to give the appetite a kick up the bum. Im sure ive seen it advertise in one of the affiliates we have, i'll go take a look for you now xxxx

** Thought so its on the Himalaya affiliate and the link is HERE for you.

But I wouldnt worry at all babe it'll no doubt be a phase, a Vix said maybe she is teething, or just feeling a little run down. You know yourself somedays you just dont feel like eating.
