As some of you know we've had a problem with our middle boy!  He's not doing his school work telling me;s not had homework, when he has(they have homework books he doesnt write in) his handwriting is worse than when he was 5, he's been using his dinner money to buy from a vending machine that they have in the school, and he's also been buying his mates lunch off him!  Well I have always been the one that punishes him, and for him the only thing that works is not letting him help daddy on the farm, nothing else bothers him.  And that hasn't been easy as daddy always says he'll talk me round, so I had nothing to use.

Well, finally I said no more!  i banned him from going at the weekend, and nothing dh could persuade me otherwise!  and after a bad day monday and tuesday, yesterday he was told by the driver any more bad language and he will not be allowed on the school bus ever again, he's now on packed lunches!

Dh had a 'chat' with him, and much to my surprise, unlike when i chat to him, ds2 never answered back once, daddy has said he has to turn over a new leaf starting from today!  The worst part is Ive been asking him to have a chat for a while and its been falling on deaf ears.  why did he let it get this bad, now it's gonna be a hard slog for him, so we'll see how it goes, but hving said that I think it's gone in!

I actually got to the point I said to dh I can't deal with him he's yours!  Dh asked where I wemt wrong with him, I said I let daddy take over him from the age of 8, i never did that with the others! lol

Here's hoping I have an easier night with him tonight!

Hope it works out Vix.  Sometimes a different approach from the other parent works really well.  I find with Hayley that if she needs punishing half the time it's me that is punished more if I have to ground her or stop her doing something as she is then a nightmare.  It does get hard as they get older.

Thats how I see it, not even one bad word came out of his mouth!  Bless him, he saw the head of year yesterday, and was given his targets, so far I don't know what they are, but he has been given them!  I'll find out tonight!  He was a different child yesterday, here's to a few more like it!

Yep, it's still working, he's now been warned by daddy on his attitude to me as well, so things are starting to look up!  I'm letting him go with dh on the farm tomorrow as he has done so well, he's even managed to get all his homework done tonight especially so that he can go!  He really is trying his best!
