It makes me laugh when kids hear you say something and its quickly absorbed into their vocabulary, and the naughtier the word, the quicker its absorbed lol Its unbelieveable how quickly they sponge up information and new things.

On Saturday my Wii arrived (after being long awaited lol) and luckily my parents were up so I left my daddy in charge of setting it up for me lol (not that I planned it to arrive this Saturday or anything tee heee) Joshua wanted to see what it was so he had a little go before bed, no more than 10 minutes lol He was hillarious jumping around playing tennis rofpmsl We put him to bed and then me and my parents played into the evening (its slightly addictive lol but boy every muscle can feel it today lol)

After lunch Joshua asked if he could have a turn. Im a bit worried about him getting attached, but I said he could, BUT when he starts back at school tomorrow thats it he doesn't get to play it everyday. He started off playing bowling, he couldnt grasp the buttons and releasing of the ball. I showed him a few times but it didnt seem to go in. Then suddenly he seemed to get it, next thing he was throwing strikes and half strikes lol He then put the olmpics on, and has so quickly mastered the menu settings, changing his character, he's built his own mii just by looking at me do mine, and he can run, swim and do the hurdles! He was only playing for an hour lolol

He wont be getting that much in future, although he didn't sit around he did get actively involved with the game, I still dont want him on it all the time. He can have it for weekend treats I think, and special treats. I am just so surprised how quickly he has absorbed everything and mastered the use of it. Just goes to show they pick up on everything! lol - I must remember that lol

It is amazing how fast they pick things up.  I find if I can't understand something 'technical' I will call the kids and say sort this out.  In a very short space of time they have figured it out and are then using 'baby language' to explain it back to me! lol

Yep they master things at the speed of light, our 22mth old can turn tv on and off via remote, work the pc etc and it's scary he does all of it with greater ease than me and my eldest is a wiz on the pc and any electrical items..... makes me worry i'm going to get left behind.....

harrison, is better on the wii than me and dp.  We got lego star wars a few weeks back and he is really rather good, he's mithering for a light saber as he said it will make him better so im on the hunt for one of those, (just so i can play too)

he makes me laugh when he plays wrestling with dp as they both get really competative, dp sulks when he loses and harry sings " you fell over!"

Rin, there's loads on ebay. I just typed in wii light sabre, and they average about £17.99 although there are some auctions going for less!
