Hi all

My son (7yrs in june) keeps saying he's feeling sweety (sp?) when at school, now i wasn't sure if this is nerves (from previous post about tests) or if he's getting to the age where he might need to use deodorant.....

Thing is i can't remember when i started to use the stuff, and i was wondering if anyone had any idea's when kids should and can start using deodorant....??

What about using a roll on deodarant that may make him feel more confident about being not so sweaty, i am not sure what age is the right time but he may just feel better if he had it.

I would let him use a roll on, I wasn't needing til I was in my teens, but ds2 definitely needed it in primary school as he sweats considerably

Meg has been using deodrant since she wa 7, because she would smell like onion bajis if she didnt!! Does he smell, or is he just getting a bit nervous? coz unless he smells, then I d leave it for now. He has a bath every day so he is clean, and clean t shirt each day helps too.

Bless, its hard to believe that they are developing so young now, I was almost 10 before I started using anything like that.

I reckon as the others have said- if it makes him feel better, let him use it. My God Daughter is 7 and she has very obvious body odour bless her, so her Mum got her using roll-on deoderant a while ago and not only has it fixed the smell problem, but it'd hugely boosted her confidence
