I went for a wonder this afternoon, in need for fresh air before I pulled my face off lolol Anyway, I didn't intend on getting much but I ended up kitting Joshua out for school lol His school shoes still fit perfectly (they were only fitted for him in June as he had a growth spurt end of the school year lol). I couldn't believe how much he has grown lol, he needed age 6yr trousers. Oh well least its all done, dark socks, trousers, t shirts, jumpers, shoes, coat lol One less hassle to deal with before September, now I just need to get my new uniform lol

Have done all of ds's uniform, and sd's too apart from the polo shirt and jumper as they have to be purchased through the school and none of dd's as i can't find anything small enough in the waist, i need adjustable waist trousers in black and size 3. My eldest sd is having money to buy herself some new clothes for the 6th form.

Adams start their school wear at aged 3 and the waist band is adjustable. hth
Do you not have a school shop for the logo items? I was talking to some other mums who had to purchase them through the school, and they were so expensive. We have a school shop here, and they cater for all the schools in the area, well almost all the schools, and the uniform is a fraction of the price the English schools charge. I couldn't believe how much the schools charge!
**I just re-read what you put about eldest sd.. no way is she going into sixth form already? OMG they grow up so fast dont they! Oh let us know how she does in her exams!

I'm doing my kids uniform shopping on Monday i think. I really love buying everything new again, just to see them looking so smart for their first day back, (the effect doesnt normally last much longer than a day though lololol) Good luck with your uniform shopping too. x-x-x

so where does everyone buy theres from? are there any good bargains around this year?
I always used to get mine from marks and spencers but I dont think the quality is as good as it used to be, so I have picked bits up in supermarkets the last couple of times and have been fairly impressed, my boys seem to get holes in trousers really quickly and turn white polo shirts brownish/ grey in no time!

I always buy ds1 sons trousers from Asda. They always seem to last. He has been back at school for 2 days and already have had to get him another school logo polo shirt ( he already had 2) as he has made them dirty. We have to get his school polo shirts and sweatshirts from a local sports shop charges a ridiculous price for them, but haven't much choice as that is what he needs. Dd even though she is now in her 6th year still needs to wear school uniform but it is now white blouses and black trousers with school tie easier to get hold of but she is extremely fussy.

This is the only school were you can't buy from another source, there have been investiagtions as this is not meant to be the case anymore but it made no difference, it used to cost me over a £100 pounds in jumpers and polo shirts alone for my 2 sd's.
As for the results, should find out soon, she already knows what she wants to do, and whatever happens, i know she tried her best, she studied for 2 hours everyday, in some difficult and challenging times, what more can you ask for, i'll be really proud of her whatever the results.

I normally get all of Joshua's uniform from the school shop, prices are as cheap as the supermarket brands, but I struggled with his trousers there this year because they dont have adjustable waists and for the length in leg he needed the waist was too big (grrr he keeps growing lol). This year I got them from Adams, they were 3 for 2 on all school wear, and all the mums at school rave about the quality so thought I'd give them a try (they have adjustable waists). I noticed the Asda ones dont and are quite a wide fitting, or maybe its normal and Joshua is just skinny lol I did get a couple of pairs from Woolworths in June (growth spurt) and you got what you paid for.. a couple of weeks worth. They were all bobbly from the washing machine and the hems came down quickly so were worn. They were also really thin. I got him some logo t shirts, but for spares I bought a pack of 3 plain blue ones, some weeks he needs a clean one every day and I dont always do a light wash through the week (everything else is darks lol)

It has just cost me £79 for Louis' uniform thats just 3 jumpers 2 logo polo tops and a school logo fleece, Harrison's cost me £59 as his fleece is still perfect from last year. It cost a bit extra this year as I have had their names embroidered under the school logo as Harry had a few 'missing' last year and at £11 a go they aren't cheap to keep replacing.
Then I had to get their trousers from BHS along with their pumps and plain polo tops and PE shorts from schooluniformshop online as the quality is good.
Just school coats and shoes to get and a PE bag for Louis.
