pre school is like the nurseries u get at primary schools for children aged 3-4 where he will be taught by a teacher as well as nursery nurses, when i say nursery i mean birth -3yrs where he cared for by nursery nurses. (hope that makes sense)

they said he enjoyed it and he still talking about now so i guess he did lol

oh but i do read to him and sometimes sing - we read the same stories to him and sing the same songs

its v. frustrating when i know other los are stringing sentences and my wee lad just babbles

my mum is wondering if meningitis affected him...

anyway sorry to hijack your thread

im so glad lil josh enjoyed his first day

how did you cope? i bet you missed him!

u havent hijacked babe....u said urself in babies r all different he will be fine once he starts mixing more with other los he'll be fine...katie (jens dd3) wasnt talking at all but she's been in nursery 3-4 weeks now and is doing great she still doesnt say big sentences but she tries..remember there is 6 months between joshua n max..im sure he's doing great..if he not improving after being in nursery or has he hits 3 ish then maybe get a routine appt but i wouldnr worry just keep up the songs and stories...actions songs (incy wincy etc) r the best way to encourage speech!!

it was horrible at work today thinking of him in the big room but im sure he'll be just fine xxxxxx
