I was dreading this weekend with Joshua and Chloe. The weather isnt brilliant although warmish and sunny I didnt really want to take them to the beach as they would want to go in the sea, and I think it is just a bit to cold. I didnt want 2 children with runny noses all weekend lol

For Chloe's birthday joshua and I bought her lots of staionary, including a maths set. Taking me back to my youth I showed Chloe how to make circle flowers with the compass, of course then Joshua wanted one. I handed them both the pictures and they sat in silence for ages just colouring them in! When they finished they happily went and built a village with duplo and kNex and kept themselves amused for the rest of the afternoon.

Then today's plan, hoping a change in weather would mean I could dump them at the beach all day went a bit wrong as it is quite nippy. This morning they were happy to colour for a bit, then I bathed them both and did lunch. After lunch I filled a bucket with warm water and car shampoo and handed them both a sponge. They have had hours of fun and my car is shining inside and out lol They washed the car and scrubbed the seats and then polished the plastic hehe The pair have just tided Joshua's room from the duplo mess and I have promised them 20 minutes at the park.

The weekend has gone great both kids are happy and well entertained. Ive had no arguments or bad behaviour...a little tired moan from Joshua but thats it! I am so proud of both of them they couldnt have been any better behaved for me this weekend!

Children are now fed and watered and getting ready for the park! So much for Chloe becoming a fussy eater, she has eaten everything Ive given her and had seconds! I think the treats can come out tonight they been so good xxxx

Well done Chris! SOunds like you did really well - I wouldnt have known where to start.

I think you should start a mm's babysitting service. I'm putting Edward on the list - you can have him for a weekend!

Seriously though, I'm glad it went well babe and Chloe enjoyed her birthday treat! The house will be quiet once she's gone though!
