Tomorrow Kirstin has the opportunity to find out her standard grade results online a day earlier than they will arrive in the post. She says she isn't going to bother and is going to wait for the postman on Tues. I know she is worried that she hasn't done very well.

She has given me her password etc for the on line service and I am so tempted to have a look but know I shouldn't and should respect her privacy. Would you look and pretend you hadn't or would you wait. I feel like such a cruel mummy for wanting to go behind her back and really know that I should wait until she finds them out.

If she has given you the passwords is that not a go ahead to look but not tell her?

As tempting as it would be I think I would personally like to hear it from them myself and wait till the postal results. Its the child that has put in the hard work and its their big day really!

I wish her all the best and I really hope she gets the grades she wants! Well done her not using the online service! Is that available to anyone or just selected groups?

I loved getting my results, we collected them from the school so it was a huge thing to us. We went down and everyone was there friends teachers the lot. I think I would have been upset had my parents found out before me, it was my day.

It sounds very tempting, especially as she has given you the details to access her results for yourself... but id also wait for her to tell you when she recieves them on Tuesday.
I hope the news will be good, and wish her all the best.

Awww bless!  I'm sorry but against everyone else on here, I would look! lol  But then I know I'm safe not to do that as my son would never give me the password to look!  However ds1 has got 18 days til we know the results of his GCSE's I don't know about him, but I am dreading them!  If he does well, I'm gonna be very poor!

Wishing her lots of luck and hope she has done great which im sure she will have xxx

I can get my results online too, I think it's a new SQA (Scottish Qualification Authority) thing  this year, Christine.

Really hope she does well Nicky!  I'm sure she's done fine!  Hey if she wants to be a lawyer (I'm sure you mentioned that before) she'll have put all the effort in.

If you do look....then remember to delete the history on your PC!

I'd hate if my Mum looked before me.....I wouldn't have given her the p'word though!! HAHAH!

Good luck Kirsten!!

Has she given you the password because she really wants you to look first?  I think I'd leave it and find out together with her. Good luck and I hope they're the results she's looking for, and if not it isn't the end of the world.  I failed most of my first sitting of O Levels (showing my age!) and went onto get a 2:1 honours degree and three books published, so there's life after rubbish results!
