As you can imagine, having 3 teens their favourite phrase is I want!  They expect everything yesterday, or even better last week, so with the amount of selective hearing going on in this house is unreal, if I ask them to do anything, they ignore it, yet if they want something, I just didn't think.  So this weekend, I decided to have some fun, when they asked for something, I returned the favour.  I want the washing up done, I want 5 mins peace and quiet, I want a cuppa!  It worked really well, it's amazing what they will do to be able to get something they want!  Obviously you will get the occasional one who will decide they don't really want something, until everyone else has something! lol  Bribery may not be right, but I feel a little bit of give and take in either direction is lovely! lol  Makes for an easier time!

It's when they start charging you for the cuppa's that you have to be careful! lol Even 2p a time in this house mounts up!  Then they ask you to change the mnoney to proper stuff, so they can spend it! lol However, I've learnt a different way with the lo's especially Fred!  If he doesn't tidy up, he doesn't get to watch cbeebies.  It's making sure you always get the better deal, ds2 knows how to con, he then gets dd to do the work, and takes all the credit! lol

Stickers for a sticker book maybe??

I love bribery, sometimes it just makes things less of a battle and thats surely better for everyone.

I find myself using my mum's old phrase with my 6yr old who says i want this and i want that for toys etc, I just say 'i want's don't get!' and walk away....

Me is a big old meanie!!
