Hi I just wanted to thank all you wonderful ladies for your support over the past few days re sitiation between dd and internet bf. Its really reasurring to know I have people I can turn too when problems like this happen.

Well heres an update. We have spoken to her and told her to try and be a bit more open with us and then we will know what she is planning etc. She isn't going away this weekend and stran gely doesn't seem too bothered so not sure if the boy was pressurising her too. Anyway she also has not been on the phone or internet to him since we said she couldn't go. I did say that he was welcome to come and stay in the holidays if she wanted and I would talk to his parents and arrange something but she hasn't come back to us. Well I will just have to wait and see what happens and hopefully she will keep us informed.

A big thank you again everyone

Im so glad things seem to have gone in. She has probably realised running off wont solve anything and by being a bit more open you have shown to be really accomodating and reasonable. Hopefully this will mean next time something comes up she'll know she can come straight to you! Must be such a relief, glad she hasn't gone.

I'm also quite relieved that things have been sorted out.
She sounds like a sensible girl, so a little give and take between everybody should give you all more understanding and trust in your family.
Giving her the option to have him stay over, shows you more than trust her, so she should be grateful of your support.
Let's hope she keeps you informed in future, now she knows she can be open and honest with reasonable reactions from you.
Well Done
