Honestly I'm sorry to be complaining again, but I'm at my wits end with Bex I really am.

Apart from the typical "I hate you" teen stuff, she's been really awful to me saying that I'm this that and so on.

It all kicked off this morning with her refusing to get up for school. I'd been up most of the night so was in no mood for this and shouted at her etc to get a bleep bleep move on. Anyway she missed the bus and it was all my fault. I told her I'd phone the school and explain that she slept in which went down like a lead balloon. The phone was grabbed off me and flung at the wall so now it's in bits.

She eventually stormed out with a bag of stuff saying that she isn't coming back.

awww mate she sounds like a real handful.  how old is she?  i wasn't that bad, although i got up to all sorts of stuff that i shouldn't have behind my parents' backs.  my sister was a complete nightmare.  she would tell you that herself.

anyway, have you tried ignoring her behaviour. i remember when i was 15. i got absolutely drunk and ended up slurring down the phone to my dad for him to pick me up. i always remember the journey home as he wouldn't speak to me or even look at me.  when i got home my mum just looked so disappointed, i even asked her to ground me so that she would speak to me!  it was truly awful receiving the silent treatment, but it worked nonetheless.

apart from that i don't know what else to suggest.

Tired no talking to her but she just screams at me. She's nearly 15. She still isn't home either.

i would ground her in that case.  have you tried grounding her?  i wonder why she is the way she is.  this must be so difficult for you. hang in there-you're a great mum even though you don't feel it right now.

Wish I knew what to suggest hun. Sending big big hugs.

Do you spend quality time 'together'? ie just the two of you. Could you do this in reward for good behaviour? I know talking to her when you are both stressed wont work but once the arguement has subsided and a suitable time frame has passed could you go and talk to her and explain that she has upset you and how it makes you feel when she says those things about you. Tell her you want to start treating her with more respect but she has to earn it. And at the end of the day she will always be you little girl and all you want to do is love her? Sorry of I've gone off on one - i'm kind of thinking out loud here.

I'm sorry she is behaving like this - it is a faze that will pass but it doesnt always feel like it at the time. Love you xxx

Please don't take this the wrong way but have you tried letting her explain how she feels about your relationship together, it may give you an idea about what sets her off, i know how difficult it can be but we have a 14 year old who can give attitude when she wants(not that often thank god)now we hear her side of the story and if we still disagree on something then we explain why and keep to that rule, it also helps us trust her that bit more as she is getting older, i just thought a different appraoch may help.
I also saw a suggestion box on the tv once, were the child puts in their thoughts and suggestions and then they sit down and discuss them, i know trhis doesn't help with the school but might give her her voice without smashing up the phone, i am sure she will come home when ready, hope things get better for you, and you are not a bad mum or you wouldn't be concerned about her. Good luck
