My 12 and 14 yr old boys are driving me nuts. Until the 12 yr old moved up to big school, they got on really well, but now they argue all the time, I wouldn't mind but it's not just verbal! It's got to the point that my 10yr old dd comes home crying cos they are fighting up the track. I only have them evening and weekends because they are at school, but I've got 6 weeks hoilday with them. I'm more concerned I'll have killed one of them at the rate they are going. My 14 yr old can be very vicious, and my 12yr old is built like a brick sh*t house. I'm just concerned they are going to do each other some serious damage soon, how do I nip it in the bud?
Any advice would be helpful, even if it means tie ing them to a chair for the hols, every little helps!

awwww hun, i really havn't got any advice, i dont have tenagers, but i do have 2 kids that endlessly fight. I know exactly how you fel, they dont even get in from school and they start, screaming, shouting, punching. It is easier to deal with when they are younger, my dd has learned the word grounded and that seems to help a little (sometimes). my kids break up from school today, i'm dreading it. 6 weeks of hell in my eyes. I cant afford holidays etc so they're just stuck at home board out of there skulls. I'm here if u wanna chat hun, tc xxx

Living where we do I can't even ground them, as their friends are in the next village 6 miles away! So they are stuck here regardless. We can't afford hols either, so it looks like we are both in for a long 6 weeks. I'll just get them to clean out the barn. That should tire them out long enough not to argue, unless they start hitting each other with the shovels! lol

My girls have their moments and it gets very physical. I try and stay out of the little arguments and let them get on with it.
Now Hayley is that bit older she does tend to go away on her own a fair bit. She is at my Dads this week, her grandmothers next week, she has a 2wk cadet camp that she paid for herself and here for 2wks then back to school. Fran has a few trips planned too but not as many.
Can you not seperate them. I try and send the girls off in different directions to do different things when they are being very annoying.

If my hubs was at home more then yes I'd be able to, but with him having a full time job as well as doing the farm then it's very hard, My eldest usually works during the holidays, but she hasn't got in touch with us to let us know his hours, so I'm assumingthat he's not working these hols, which I'm quite annoyed about, it wouldn't have taken her 5 mins to let me know he wasn't needed, especially as Arwel was hoping to save up for a bike this year! If I'm lucky Arwel will be a typical teen and spend the holidays in his room, he at least has hobbies, Hywel (12) has no interest except the farm, but there are so many dangers his dad won't let him do things un aided. I'll just have to organise some things to keep them occupied as much as possible, and hope Fred fits into our plans, without causing too much disruption, although if the weather continues like it is, they will probably spend most of their time at the river, in which case I shouldn't have too much problems.
