Well I had a laugh on Tuesday night!  My boys have gone back to wrestling with each other and fighting in my kitchen!  Well I have threatened them time and time again, and I had a really bad day, and I warned them if they carried on I was kicking them out of the house!  I went through to the other room to calm down, put the tv on, and it wasn't that quiet.  I heard them over the tv, got very stressed, so I opened the kitchen door and ordered the pair of them out.  I took the key out of the door so it was locked and they had no way of getting back in.

HOwever I did start to feel cruel when 5 minutes later I could see them out the side window, with the 'swarm' of midgies around them.  Thinking maybe I had gone over the top, I decided to let them in, only to find as I was turning round  dd came in asking if she could let the boys in as they had thrown something at her window to get her attention.  Well I decided that they could stay out a little longer.  So I stood in the scullery doing the washing up, finished that and put the kettle on and just as I was about to pick the key up, ds2 shouted 'come on' through the window.  The key went back on the table, and I finished making my coffee.  Then just as I realised my car was unlocked, they asked to sit in it.  I hit the key fob, locking it, and ds1 got excited, til he tried the door!  I left them for a further 5 ins, then put the key in the door and said they brought it on themselves.

Yesterday they tried their best but nearly went out again just before bed, and today they have been angels!  So it obviously works, even if it is just short term at the moment! lol  I did feel bad though, but once they started hassling me through the window, I stopped caring.  Let's hope it's a lesson learnt well!

Had me creasing when I read this one, maybe next time you could tie them to a fence post or something...can guarantee no hassles if you do that.

Typical kids, have to have the last word!  Ds2 asked ds1 for a fight last night so that they could get locked outside! lol  I told him he starts a fight he goes to bed, however in the nice weather if he wants to go out and play then go out and play!  None of them needed to be told twice! lol  So I had a nice quiet evening too! lol

That is so funny, Vix.

You tell it so well.

Let's hope it's a lesson learned!

That's so funny. Will try this with Bex when she plays up again. Good part about living in a village, nowhere to go, ha!
