     Do any of you have experience of U18s nightclubs. I know some of you will be young enough perhaps to have gone to one or know people who go. how safe are they?

    My dd nearly 15 has asked me if she can go to one in Glasgow with a group of friends to see a band that she knows play in a couple of weeks. I am not worried about how she will get there and would make sure she is picked up, it is just what goes on inside them.

     Perhaps I am worrying too much and I know she needs to grow up and experience things like this and make her own decisions.  We never had such things when I was a teenager, it was the monthly local disco in the village hall which always finished at 10.

I used to go to an under 18s nightclub in Glasgow but I wasn't allowed to go until I was 16.

Out of interest which one is it your daughter wants to go to - I may have heard of it and could let you know what its like?

The one we went to was really well supervised and there were plenty of bouncers etc roaming about checking everyone was ok etc

Its completely your decision hun and you must do what you feel is right.  If you aren't comfortable about her going then definitely say that to her, she is still young after all, but if you feel you can trust her and are happy with the transport arrangements then maybe this could be her trial run.

Yeah I know the one

Have only ever been in it  once and that was a while ago

It seemed fine though then

Nowadays they have to ensure under 18 nights are really well supervised so I am sure this will be no exception
