Were any of you obsessed with your hair when you were a teenager? My dd and her hair is driving me mad,not a day goes by when she says she needs a haircut or hates her hair etc. It was only cut on 22nd December and she has already started mentioning that it needs cutting again. I am lucky if I get mine cut once a year. She never sticks to the same hairdresser. I am thinking of writing a book about the hairdressers of Ayrshire as I have been to so many in the past year. Over the past few months the colour hasn't been right and she wanted to go blonde. I told her it wouldn't look right but oh no her dad says yes and she went blonde just before Christmas. (see avaitor photo). As soon as it was done it was all wrong. I felt like saying told you so, but I didn't. Today I have spent this afternoon turning it back brown for her and guess what she informs me that in a few weeks she will be going to the hairdressers to go blonde again ( well I won't be paying)

Sorry for this, I just needed a rant as she is driving me MAD.

I have told her , that her hair will fall out if she keeps changing colour, but of course I am only her nagging mother and she doesn't listen to me.

Well now she has dyed it she has all the upkeep, I don't think she believed me. Well hopefully she has learnt something from this little experiment. It just like when she was 11 and decided she needed to shave her legs ( the hair was really fair and she could easily have waited until she was a bit  older) but no , out came the razor and then came the moaning that the hairs on her legs were getting darker!!

Don't talk to me about teenage daughters and their hair!!  Both my daughters have their haircut every five minutes.  They used to get it done every time they stayed with me and then would have it differently the next time they came so I got wise to this and now don't take them to get it done, baring in mind they are here every other weekend.  Hayley frequently cuts her own hair too and dyes it herself.  Fran goes from wanting hers straight to wanting it curly within the hour.  I do go to the hairdresser myself every other month but only started to do this recently as a little treat and me time I only get it cut and blow dryed though I dye it myself normally.
