Did anyone watch this on itv?

I know there have been numerous of these types of programmes on recently.  I was a teen mum I got pg with Harrison at 17 and i was stereotyped.

It angers me when people presume just because your a teen mum, then you dont have a clue and dont deserve your child and you cannot cope.

But then you have programmes like this which show sheer stupidity and you wonder why so many people lable teen mums with the same ruddy sticker  I spent ages trying to prove to people I wasn't your average teen mum and this programme outrages me.

Where is their common sense?

Giving a baby biscuits for breakfast?!  Putting your 5 day old baby on the floor and then shouting at your 13month old toddler for sitting on her and tripping over her.

Putting your toddler to bed at 9-10pm at night so they dont get up till late so the poor mother can get a lay in.

I really shouldnt watch these things.

I didnt see this but even tho i was 20 wen i had Ryan i still feel like many people look down at me in the street as tho im a stereotypical teen mum & even while i was still with ex i knew people automatically pressumed i was a single mum if i was out with Ryan by myself

I remember watching a similar programme a few years ago - it doesnt help the mums who are actually good at it wen they show this steroetypical behaviour

awww i wish id have seen this, its just my thing, though it would have made me so angry, there are some brilliant mothers out there of all ages,i think my family were worried when i got preg but are always saying how well i have done with bronia and she has been brought up v well...i think it depends a lot on how the girls themselves were brought up,i know a girl my age who has also had a child at the same time as me and the diff in us is crazy....she is the stereotyped young mum, hasnt grown up herself enough to care for a child.

xx

I watched it...and yes i was yelling at the tv...got very cross watching it.

I know a load of teenage mums and mums-to-be and they seem very switched on etc..not like some of the girls that were on last night.  Makes you wonder at times doesnt it.

Im all for helping out etc..however, i just wanted to shake two of those girls lots and lots...any prizes for guessing which ones lol.  Talk about not listening to advice dished out..but I suppose, end of the day they were just kids themselves

Thank goodness I missed this or I would've been ranting at the tv, lol.

I was a teen mum, got preg at 17 and had her at 18.

I got Rebekah into a routine as soon as I could, did take help when it was offered but never dumped her on anyone. Where I went she went.

I feel that people are too quick to judge round here. I was 19 when I had Adam but I had been with Dave for 3 yrs. Like Litle P, when I was out on my own with Ads they assumed I was a single mum too. I was furious after I had just had Zarah (i hope noone takes offence here) when one nosy old woman asked if my children had the same father! I was so angry, I kinda blew my top.

my friends daughter had a baby when she was 20

she sadly is the type to carry on with life as normal for her

its the summer hols now and her mum who is a teacher is having the toddler most days, she has her a lot in the evenings too, as do the lads parents-in fact im not sure when her own parents actually do a full day-neither of them work either

the litte girl is nice but her parents take the you know what, i used to give her all lilys old clothes but she took it for granted and didnt even bother thanking me so i found someone else who appreciated them!
