Ooohh iv been dying to post about this, but didnt want to spoil anything for the others lol I agree, it kept me totally gripped throught and the ending wasnt what i was expecting at all! Awww lots of little mini Potters and Weasleys then the story could continue i suppose, but i dont think it should. It was by far the best book out of the 7, and im sooo eager to watch the film already when it comes out (in years time) lol

I enjoyed it I did guess how she would end it between Harry and Voldy by the middle of the book. Not sure about the end all a bit sloppy and too nice really maybe would have been better to leave the happy ever afters to the imagination. I did like the names that Harry had chosen for his children and the way she made the children individuals in just one chapter. I agree leaves it open for the future if she wants to write about any of the off spring and what they get up to. Not sure how she can replace voldy though but I am sure a new baddy could always come along with a grudge against the potters and weasleys. All in all a good book and I want to get the time to read them all now that the series is complete as it's been years since I read the first ones.

I did enjoy it eventually, but it took ages to get going. The first third or so I spent wondering if anything was going to actually happen, but once it got going, it was brill. I think it's a shame that she hadn't finished writing all 7 before the series got so huge, as you can tell in several places that she's thinking of what the film is going to look like (that bit where Hagrid's carrying his 'body' to the crowd, and she's on about nobody noticing the pulse in Harry Potter's exposed neck, I can see the close up now...). I also was (probably un-justifiably) annoyed that she didn't think of a different way around the killing curse. No-one else has ever survived it, yet Harry Manages it 3 times! Surely Voldemort could have thought of something else to try and finish him off? But I'm being picky. I generally loved it. And I liked the epilogue too, although I know it's come in for a lot of stick. Glad Snape turned out to be good after all. Didn't guess about him being secretly in love with Lily all along, and I though it was really clever how she did the thing with Dumbledore being cursed and going to die anyway.
Found this, which details what JK thinks would happen to the main characters afterwards. http://au.news.yahoo.com/070731/2/14373.html The book would have gone on forever if she'd tried to fit them all in there.

I like that Snape turned out to be a goody in the end too but didn't guess why he was. I was kind of hoping the Petunia turned out to have secret magic powers as it was kind of eluded to in an earlier book but then nothing came of it. I don't think Dudley should have been nice to HP though as it was quite out of character for him. I don't like that they killed Fred off either!!

I really enjoyed it.
I cried when Dobby died and Fred and because there had been so many rumours before about which characters were going to die I found myself on tenderhooks throughout certain parts of the book.
I also cried when Harry walked into the forbidden forest to face Voldemort, I truly thought he was going to die even though there were still pages left to read.
I felt the book was gripping, I only managed to read any of it whilst breastfeeding Seren so I'm sure that in a week Seren has gained loads of weight LOL.
When I did finish it I found myself thinking about it constantly for days afterwards I just couldn't get it out of my head so must have made a huge impact on me.

I enjoyed it, but really do feel that it would have been a better story if she'd finished all 7 books before the hype kicked off etc. I just got the feeling that she was writing for the film, and making the books longer than they needed to be. Just my opinion, but the 1st 4 books were brilliant, I hated the 5th, 6th was better and 7 was good, but nothing like the passion and inovation of the 1st 4.
I thought that killing hedwig off was pointless and it annoyed the hell out of me! I'm glad snape turned out to be a good guy, but I'm gutted that the malfoys didn't get what was coming to them!
I'd also have liked a nice, tidy - this is what happens to everyone - ending, but thats just me!
