Hi everyone,

I work with the team behind Barbie, and would firstly like to thank Keith for allowing me to post something I hope you’ll find interesting.

I wanted to share some specially-created, free content from the new Barbie Mariposa feature film. The movie tells the story Barbie Mariposa’s (Spanish for “Butterfly”) mission to save the future of the fairy world of Flutterfield from the evil witch Henna.

Access details to the video can be found below. I’d love to invite you to take a quick look and let me know what you and the children think!

Thanks, look forward to hearing any questions and thoughts!

Rachel

Hun it looks good..... just a question though in the text it says that it's available on dvd from the 3rd march 2008... is this correct?? If so does this mean it's already out.

Only thing i found is it seems easy to understand and looks like it has points where they will be in giggles so i'm sure the girls will love it but from an adult perspective i found some scenes with the fairys' flying (where they are fighting over nails etc) that they don't stand out very well, urm what i'm trying to say is the colours seems to blend together and the fairy's hair blends in with the back ground.....

But otherwise it looks lovely....... just wish i had a little girl to share it with so i could give you there opinions but my boys aren't intrested one bit.

Hello!

Going to be completely honest here- the trailer didn't hold the attention of my 3 year old wee girl.  Perhaps it's the scenes that have been chosen for the preview?  On the strength of the clips I wouldn't buy it.

I have a 3 year old boy who wasnt all that interested - however I think a little girl who was older would love the colours and content.

What age is it aimed at?

Both my daughters are too old for Barbie now and my son although the right age really isn't interested in anything if it doesn't have a car chase, a crash or an explotion.  I know however that my middle daughter would have loved this had she been younger she is 15 now.  She was always a big Barbie fan and also loved fairies so the two together would have been a big hit.

Hi,

Thanks for all the feedback – it’s very helpful and definitely appreciated!

To answer your question, Madzwalker, Barbie Mariposa is aimed at children aged 4+, and of course any adult fans of Barbie!

Do let me know if you have any other questions

Rachel
