Thats really tough!

I love John Grisham books. And Maggie O Farrell.

There is a teenage book called The Giver that I think is very clever. And a drug based one called Junk (been made into film)

I also like Pat Barkers Regeneration, I studied it at school but have read it again since.

I thought The Horse Whisperer was a good read too.

Sorry did you only want one???

Oh I love To Kill A Mockingbird and The Colour Purple too, I studied those both at high school, they're brill!

I love two of Dan Brown's book, Angels and Demons and The Da Vince code, it's almost a shame the latter has had so much hype about it really.

I think Jane Eyre is a lovely classic too.

At the moment I am half way through reading the Wheel of Time series of books by Robert Jordan - I am on book 5.  dh keeps complaining that I have become obsessive about them tee hee.  I also love Terry Pratchett books.
