I've smacked, but wouldn't say I enjoy it.

Will try and watch it too.

I do smack the back of Adams hands but rarely and only at breaking point! And I feel so damned awful and guilty after doing it. He normally gets timed out now. Will have to watch this programme too...

My mum use to smack us but only when we were very cross. I think once you don't do it too hard and you can control yourself...it's ok.

I am not sure on this one tho as Rachel is only 1.

Never got to breaking point, isla gets smacked hands...tasja cos shes older gets the fingertips on the back of legs...it hurts, and she always thinks twice about it.  My dad used to do the fingertips on back of legs to me and my lil sis...tracey learned pretty damn quick...however, me, well lets just say it erm took a little bit longer!  I did used to give natasja a smack on her bum...until the day she pushed it too far and ran up the stairs lauging saying...that didnt hurt...after that back of the legs it is.  She does get a choice though..my hand your bum...or sort it out whats it going to be.  Isla however, i can see calling my bluff every time little madam.

I dont enjoy doing it, but the end of the day, if its needed and all other options have failed...then a smack it is

I would like to see this as well... will have to set it on autoview.

I have smacked CJ's hand a couple of times it was when she was playing with the plug sockets, there isn't an on and off switch over here for them, although I have got the safety things on them. I had said no and 'ouch' to try to indicate that they can hurt her and moved her away 3 or 4 times and she kept going back and laughing as she was sticking her fingers into the safety thing. So in the end I tapped the back of her hand, it was really light but it was enough to shock her she didn't cry but just looked at me but left the socket alone.

It's situations like that the I will smack her if she doesn't listen to my warnings only because I would rather smack her than her possibly get an electric shock which would be a lot more painful.

I have and do smack Harrison when he's pushed the boundaries too far, but I think the naughty chair and the naughty toy box(he gets toys taken away when he's done wrong) work far better.

Louis gets a tap on the back of his hand, when he's doing something he shouldn't be, but he responds to it with a giggle.

I will be watching as i do smack my children, and most of the time, think that it gets the point across, but I do think before I smack them, to stop myself smacking them out of sheer frustration and stress

Watched this and was mortified.  I know programmes get edited and we don't see alot of what is really going on, but...

That Angela woman with the 3 kids is absolutely barking mad and needs locking up.  How dare she hit them across the house and use implements to strike them.  She is a disgrace.  The mad joined-in-the-middle eyebrows say it all-LOCK HER UP!!!

And the father of the 3 year old boy Mitchell and the baby-well!!  He should be ashamed at what he gets tetchy about in the first place.  How many 3 year olds behave impeccably at the dinner table?  The little boy gets a smack with no warning because his legs aren't under the table!  Crikey, if I smacked Max everytime he did that I would never eat.

No warnings given and the children are being smacked for the minimalist of reasons.  What they see as being naughty I certainly don't.

Ok I have smacked Max on occasions. BUT never around the head, only the legs or bottom and it certainly isn't often.  Alot of the time he is being really naughty and is dangering himself or others like smothering his brother and I admit I smack him out of fear than anything else.  I think lots of praise, love and affection is far more important anyway and Max and Tom get lots of that.

You didn't see any affection or praise given in the programme, but like I say it is edited and did give a biased view.

What did everyone else think of the parents and programme?
