My DH and I actually had an evening off last week and went away over night and got a meal and saw a film. We had to visit lots of relatives in various locations, so we left the boys with MIL and stopped in a BandB in Exeter. (Can't remember the last time we went to the cinema and didn't see something animated! I think it was the second Lord of the Rings!)

Anyway, we saw Hot Fuzz, the new film with Simon Pegg (from Spaced and Shaun of the Dead) and it was absolutely hilarious. I missed some of the action cause I was still laughing out loud from something that had happened earlier! If anyone gets the chance to see this, I would highly recommend it. Completely frivolous, quite ridiculous in places, and not to be taken seriously, but easily one of the best films I've ever seen.

I saw it last week.

Some of it was abit stupid though and I think 2 hours is a tad long, but apart from that it's good entertainment.

Glad you enjoyed your night off!

They filmed Hot Fuzz just up the road from us and premiered it there too.  I haven't seen it yet but a few friends have and said it's really funny seeing familiar places on the film.
