My dd,Iona will be p3 in August-but she's still my wee babs.When ds,Roan starts school Iona will be at secondary- that is scary! </P>

At least if both go 2 college- Iona will have finished b4 Roan starts- so hopefully we'll afford it all!</P>

I managed not 2 cry when dd started school-I think cos her wee pals were there she was so happy.</P>

"I've got 2 in school and I agree, time goes much quicker once they start.  Katie doesn't start til next year after xmas, well thats bout 18 months away yet.  I cried on dd#1 first day, it was soooooooo emotional but with ds I was fine, loved the 2 weeks of freedom b4 dd#2 arrived."

i went out and got some of her uniform in yesterday and showed mil what i'd got and guess what she said i don't agree with ur choice of school bag it's 2 small u shouldn't have bought socks as it'll b winter soon u've not got her a dress and when i told her i had cream tights already in the house she told me u can't have cream tights with a navy skirt.</P>

who says i can't i wore just that when i went 2 school and there is nothing wrong with it oh it made me feel so crap here i am buying my first school uniform 4 my daughter and she makes me feel as if i'm a terrible mother  it makes me so angry.</P>"

At least I don't have that prob at the mo.  My daughter is only just, at 10, starting to want skirts and dresses, she wouldn't wear them before, not since 5yrs old! Bless her, I just have to buy really small trousers when fred starts, but how old are they when they go, here they have  a nursery class as well.

<FONT color=#0033cc size=2>I Cried when dd1 started school nearly 3 years ago, doesnt seem that long, and sometimes doesnt seem long enough lol. i know what you mean about it not seeming long til teenage years although i could swear at 7 dd1 has hit the terrible teens already she is so moody, and very feisty!!</FONT></P>

i am not lookin forward to when dd goes to school but i have over 4yrs for that but i am sure before i know it the time will arrive as they grow up so fast.</P>

I hope she gets on well and enjoys her time at school and ignore ur mil she is ur little girl and u make her choices on the uniform.  I hate when people interfer</P>
