Amy had her 1st jabs today and seemed ok for a while then later on she woke up screaming like she was in loads of pain which lasted for half an hour. I have been giving her calpol. I went to change her nappy when i saw her leg. Quite swollen (her whole thigh) and very red and hot. I was told to expect a small lump and a bit of crying! So i phoned nhs up who said the needle had possibly gone in too far. Then was told to phone local docs who said she might have had a reaction because the vacine was live. They want me to phone back at 8.30pm and tell them how she is. She's fast asleep now though.

Hope she is ok Lanny. Ollies leg was red and hot too but no real lump to speak of. He cried like that too but only when I moved him, I think his neck was sore. My friends lo screamed for about 5hrs and had a really high temp of 102 until the next morning they were told to just keep giving him calpol every 4hrs.

She seems alot better now. She's been asleep for an hr and her leg isn't so red. Hope she doesn't get upset again later (in the middle of the night)
